turned a Home into a Vibrant Modern Haven
The case in the eyes of the team: "The customers have been living together in a typical cookie-cutter townhouse/condominium. Our intention was to modernize and brighten up the space in both a literal and hyperbolic sense through colour, modifications, and some layout changes to make the best use of the space we had available."
The Challenge: Marrying Aesthetic Appeal with Functionality
One of the primary challenges Can Do More Painting and Design faced was merging aesthetic appeal with functionality. Their vision was to create a kitchen that not only exuded charm and elegance but also provided practicality for everyday living. The task at hand included reimagining the layout, selecting the perfect materials, and seamlessly integrating our custom countertops into the design.

The Inspiration: The customers love for blue
"A lot of the inspiration for the colour came from the customers liking of cool/blue colours. When doing the consult, one of the tile choices (the one that ended up being selected) was a nice turquoise. Using those items as a springboard, we were able to make some colour decisions."
"For the cabinets, the clients ended up selecting a nice off white colour of pre-finished doors we offer, with a nice and subtle faux wood grain, with a complimentary colour selected for us to paint the boxes and gables of the cabinets. With such a neutral colour foundation in the kitchen it not only served to brighten the space, but to also allow us to inject a nice amount of colour into the walls, including using an accent colour to help the dining area stand out more, while also taking advantage of some existing wall trim/wainscotting to help contrast the colour by bringing some of the white trim back in."
"Having added a coffee bar/pass through to the wall that had blocked off the dining room from the kitchen, the extra light and space really made such a major difference in a great way to literally open up the space."
"From there, we focused back on the cabinets, with the catalyst backsplash tile, using blacks in the hardware and greys in the floor, grout, and elsewhere to tie into the beautiful grey veins spread amongst the nice white of the countertop, creating a nice balance of lights and darks throughout the kitchen. A nice area of monochromatic rest, amongst the soft blue-green wall colours."

"This reno, was something we as a team were certainly excited for the final results, through small tweaks like an island adjustment, or creating a large hole in the wall! Everything from the walls, to the floors, to the counters all tie together to nicely. Everyone put their best foot forward, as always, and helped create a stunning renovation that I'm sure anybody that sees it will immediately and a special thanks to the granite guys for their beautiful countertops as they were a feature of the renovation. "
